The recommended application is in several thin coats. Tung oil slowly cures into a silky glossy “wet wood” look with a slight golden tint. Tung oil resists water better than any other natural vegetable oil and darkens very little over time. It has natural antiseptic properties and therefore resists mold much better than other oils.

Tung oil is the only vegetable oil that cures throughout its entire volume and is also the only oil that polymerizes 100%.

Tung oil is sensitive to temperature (does not like cold) and when exposed to cold, light precipitates (crystals) may form in the oil. These precipitates do not affect the quality of the oil. It is only necessary to heat the tung oil before application. When you heat the oil to about 40°C, the light precipitates begin to dissolve and the oil becomes clear again.

First aid instructions: In case of ingestion, uncertainty or persistent nausea, seek medical advice. In case of inhalation, move the affected person to fresh air, ensure rest and prevent chilling. In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. Waste disposal: Dispose of used, properly emptied packaging at a packaging waste collection point. Packaging with product residues should be disposed of at a designated hazardous waste collection site or handed over to an authorized person for hazardous waste handling.
