Linseed oil 500ml
Code: 222

Product detailed description
APPLICATION: The most effective method of application is with a brush, which allows the oil to be worked as deeply as possible into the pores of the wood. The wood must be dry, untreated (with previous coatings that may have sealed the pores and prevented deep penetration), and clean (free of dirt and grease). The application temperature should not be lower than 10 °C.
DILUTION: Linseed oil should be diluted to ensure the deepest possible penetration into the wood, up to a ratio of 1:1 with a suitable thinner. If you want to avoid using a thinner, the oil can be heated before application. After applying the coating, allow the oil to soak in for approximately 2 hours. Any excess oil that has not been absorbed must then be thoroughly wiped off (preferably with a thicker cotton cloth) to avoid the risk of glossy, sticky, and unattractive spots. If the excess is wiped off properly, the surface will have a silky matte appearance. If not, the surface will be glossy.
STORAGE: Store in closed containers at a temperature of 5–25 °C in dry, clean, and well-ventilated areas. Keep away from food, beverages, feed, strong oxidizing agents, and sources of ignition (open flames, sparks, hot surfaces). Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
Since linseed oil is oxidatively drying (hardens on contact with air), its shelf life can be significantly extended by storing it in containers with as little air as possible (filled as much as possible to the top). Linseed oil hardens from the surface, so a skin may form on the surface over time. This does not degrade the oil. Before use, it is advisable to strain the oil through a paint filter (or nylon stocking), or dilute it further.
HEALTH AND SAFETY CLASSIFICATION:
The product is not classified as hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).
